Japanese Meiji Period Komai Gilt Lacquer Cabinet

A Japanese antique lacquered miniature cabinet. Heavily decorated in gold gilt on three sides with depictions of Immortals. Each panel decorated with four toed dragons. Cabinet summit in red umber background with Chinese village landscape. Double doors open to decorated to interior with nine drawers with fronts gold decorated in village landscape scenes. Cabinet verso black lacquer over gesso. Cabinet set in fitted artisan made display stand (5.5" x 17" x 11"). No apparent maker mark.

Dimensions: 16 X 15 X 9 in.

Condition: Good to fair overall condition having normal surface wear. Hinges missing screws. No key included. Estate fresh to the market.
