HARMONIKA BY MICHAEL SCHWEIGHOFER, VIENNA CIRCA 1830-1840

The signature in an oval brass frame points to the piano maker Johann Michael Schweighofer as the builder. The body is veneered in walnut and rests on a frame supported by four turned legs in walnut that taper downwards. Between the two back legs is the lyre with three pedals. The entire body is decorated with brass applications. Two candle holders on either side of the keyboard are preserved.
The body has a two-part lid flap.
The keyboard (C-f3) has a 3-octave-span of 45.8cm.

Die Signatur in einem ovalen Messingrahmen weist auf den Klavierbauer Johann Michael Schweighofer als Erbauer hin. Der Korpus ist in Nussbaum furniert und ruht auf einem Rahmen, welcher von vier, sich nach unten verjüngenden, gedrechselten Beinen in Nussbaum getragen wird. Zwischen den beiden rückwärtigen Beinen befindet sich die Lyra mit drei Pedalen. Der gesamte Korpus ist mit Messingapplikationen versehen. Zwei Kerzenhalter zu beiden Seiten der Klaviatur sind erhalten.
Der Korpus hat eine zweiteilige Deckelklappe.
Die Klaviatur (C-f3) hat ein Stichmaß von 45,8cm.
