Indian Quarter Eagles 1911-D $2 1/2 MS64 NGC. Strong D

Indian Quarter Eagles
1911-D $2 1/2 MS64 NGC. Strong D. The Denver Mint only struck Indian quarter eagles in three years, and these three issues represent the famed series key (1911-D), the quintessential type coin of the series (1925-D), and one of the two most prominent condition keys (1914-D). Mintage figures for the three dates mirror their respective availabilities, with the 1911-D boasting a total of only 55,680 pieces. This debut Denver issue is understandably rare in Gem Mint State, and Choice examples are in high demand. The current coin displays boldly struck design elements and finely textured honey-gold surfaces, with no significant abrasions of note.
