A Portuguese silver and garnet Cross of the Order of Christ with diamonds.
Commander's cross pendant with paw terminals set with step-cut garnets in foiled settings and a diamond encrusted Latin cross applique. Floral terminal set with rose-cut diamonds with a bail on the reverse. No hallmarks. One garnet defective. 5.2 x 2.9 cm. Weight 16.62 g.

The Ordem de Nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo was a Portuguese knightly order founded in 1319 with headquarters in Castro Marim in the Algarve, which was dissolved in 1834. In 1918 it was re-established as a state military order of merit and is still awarded today.

Silber. Tatzenkreuz gefasst mit folierten Granaten im Tafelschliff und mit appliziertem diamantbesetztem lateinischem Kreuz. Florale Bekrönung mit Diamantrosen-Besatz und rückseitig angebrachter Bandöse. Nicht gestempelt. Ein Granat bestoßen. 5,2 x 2,9 cm. Gewicht 16,62 g.

Der Ordem de Nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo war ein 1319 gegründeter portugiesischer Ritterorden mit Hauptsitz in Castro Marim an der Algarve, der 1834 aufgelöst wurde. 1918 wurde er als staatlicher Verdienstorden für militärische Verdienste erneut gestiftet und wird noch heute verliehen.
