One page, 2° (570 x 475mm). Woodcut headpiece and initial, typographic borders. Countersigned at foot in the co-tsars\' names by ? Liapin, inscribed on the reverse with the names of the co-tsars and signed by Andrei Rotmanov, with protective backing leaf, held by twisted thread rope with wax seal attached, with the original yellow silk tissue. (Some soiling with minor tears to main sheet, the backing sheet soiled and torn).



IN THE ORIGINAL STATE COMPLETE WITH THE SEAL. The text specifies the reasons for the grant: for his father\'s, Iakov Matveevich Bucharov\'s, many services in the wars against the Turkish Sultan and the Crimean Khan under Tsar Aleksei Mikhailovich, and their brother Fedor Alekseevich over 20 years, and granting him lands in Tula and Volechinsk province in the villages of Niukhovsk and Vyzpolsk, including the buildings, lands, fields etc., and the serfs living there. A similar document, with seal and cloth, signed by the co-Tsars Ivan V and Peter I dated 1686 was exhibited in Russia Engages the World (n.104).



Together with a similar document in the names of Ivan and Peter, granting lands to Vasilii Feodorovich Likhachev, 5 August 1684 (torn with loss, main sheet only). (2)
