Flute clock with two singing birds
Black Forest around 1840/50. Wood, painted in polychrome colours and partially gilt, iron and brass. Domed lacquered shield with fine garland and geometric painting. Roman minute scale and Arabic minute ring, iron hands. Wooden spindled 24-hour movement striking on a bell at the full hour. Cylinder musical movement with 21 tin flutes.
H 65,5, W 45,5 cm. Pendulum, three weights and bracket.

Good age-related, restored condition. Shield restored and partially retouched, gilding and edges partially rubbed. Backboard added.

Römische Minuterie und arabischer Minutenring, Eisenzeiger. Holzgespindeltes 24-Std.-Gehwerk mit Schlag auf Glocke zur vollen Stunde. Walzenspielwerk über 21 Zinnflöten.
