A further drawing by Hackert from the Fossombrone area, both created during a two-month hike through Umbria in the summer of 1776, can be found in the Weimarer Klassik Foundation. Both sheets show the wooded banks of the Metauro River: "Together they document both a section of the river's course and the journey of the artist, who may have depicted himself here in the rider with a dog" (C. Nordhoff, op. cit.).

Eine weitere Zeichnung Hackerts aus der Gegend von Fossombrone, beide entstanden während einer zweimonatigen Wanderung durch Umbrien im Sommer 1776, befindet sich In der Stiftung Weimarer Klassik. Beide Blätter zeigen die bewaldeten Ufer des Flusses Metauro: „Zusammen dokumentieren sie sowohl einen Teilabschnitt des Flusslaufs als auch der Reise des Künstlers, der sich hier vielleicht in dem Reiter mit Hund selbst dargestellt hat“ (C. Nordhoff, op. cit.).
