A Louis XVI ormolu-mounted bois-satiné, tulipwood, amaranth and fruitwood console desserte, Late 18th century, 86x110x45 cm, Provenance: Property of a Dutch noble family. Acquired at Fersen Antiquités, Monaco, by Pieter Hoogendijk, Baarn, 1982, on behalf of the present owner. The shaped and moulded gris saint-Anne marble top above a frieze drawer, flanked by hinged compartments, on turned tapering legs with simulated fluting, and a conforming undertier with pierced gallery sound.
