Certified USPAP Valuations by an Expert

We understand the need for evaluation of prized objects for insurance, estate, loss, donation and retail values. Erin-Marie Wallace is a Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) compliant appraiser and provides unparalleled experience in the handling and appraising of fine art, collectibles, silver and gold. She is certified to conduct IRS Gift and Donation Appraisals, Estate and Probate Appraisals and Collection Inventories. Be assured that whether a Fair Market or Insurance appraisal is needed, be it written or verbal, Erin-Marie and her Team will have an exceptional familiarity with the pedigree, age and perceived-worth of your valuables with a focus on honest discretion and professionalism.

Upon founding E. M. Wallace Auctions & Appraisals (EMWAA), Erin-Marie Wallace became the only US Auctioneer with an Auction House in North-America owned by a Sotheby’s UK Master’s Graduate; simultaneously holding a USPAP Compliancy distinction. In evolving EMWAA to Rare-Era she combines her formal training with an extensive tutelage in world traveled collectibles and antiques; with strict confidence and a genuine interest in the subject – you are also assured a thorough documented record in multi-estate management of your in-kind prized assets.  The further value is the ease of starting every consignment conversation from the photo submission simplicity of our Sell & Bidwell Mobile App.

The Appraisal Process

We begin every appraisal process with a preliminary evaluation conducted in person or via photographs to determine the scope of the property or collection.  Appraisals are based on an examination to determine the condition, description and measurements. After the preliminary examination, the property is researched to identify and verify marks and signatures, dates, comparable sales analysis and if necessary, consultation with other subject matter experts within our network.

Fees for appraisals are based on the time required to evaluate the property and include research time, documentation, travel and report writing. Should the property be consigned to our auctions, all fees may be refunded in lieu of our hammer-price commission percentage.
