Medieval Armorial Signet Ring

Venetian, late 15th-early 16th century AD. A gold ring with wide tapering shank, letters 'K' and 'G' to the shoulders; flat ecliptic bezel with dot border framing coat of arms comprising of a half eagle and two stars separated by a wide diagonal line. Accompanied by an Art Loss Register certificate. 24.63 grams, 25.26mm overall, 21.55mm internal diameter (approximate ring size British Y, USA 12, Europe 27.51, Japan 26) (1"). Property of a central London collector; acquired from a large private collection formed in the 1980s. Accompanied by a positive X-Ray Fluorescence metal analysis certificate.
