An 1871 model cavalry Mauser rifle

dating: 1876 provenance: Germany, Short, rifled, round, 11 mm cal. barrel, with octagonal base, marked 'OESTERR. WAFFENFB. GES.', 'FW' under crown, serial number '4182A' and with various marks, adjustable rear sight and foresight; typical bolt dated '1876,' with same serial number, 'K. Mod. 71' and with various marks. Full wooden stock with iron mounts, for cavalry therefore without ramrod. length 100 cm.
