British School, 19th century - Portrait of a Woman traditionally identified as Lady Eleanor Butler, one of the Ladies of Llangollen, seated half length, with on the reverse an old handwritten label "The inscription on the [unlined] canvas (back) of the painting as follows: Lady Eleanor Butler by O Rhys.  Lady Butler was one of the 3 [sic] maids of Llangollen who lived & died at Plas Newydd", oval, 30cm Restored; lined, long undisturbed in the present oval giltwood frame
